Offers More Power for Laser Tag Centers
Des Moines, Iowa, USA - Intersphere USA today announced the release of
version 6.0 of their LaZerware laser tag software.
"This sixth generation Lasertag control system has been developed with the
input of operators and users from all over the world," said Todd Ferson,
CEO of Intersphere LaserGames. "LaZerware 6.0 is truly the industrys
most advanced and capable laser tag control system. LaZerware 6.0
is written with the newest 32-bit Microsoft compilers to ensure maximum future
compatibly and upgradability."
Version 6.0 improvements include:
1. New High-tech Look and Feel:
A highly modern and improved user interface dominates the screen with faster,
improved graphics.
2. GateMaster Point of Sale Link:
Allows player and game data to be shared between LaZerware and GateMaster.
3. Integrated Effects Sounds:
Each special power and wall unit can be configured to play Windows wave files
that seamlessly mix with the arena house music. Wall unit announcements can be
played over the entire arena. Over 150 wave files are included; some examples
are "Mega-Power awarded", "mission accomplished" and "cloaking
device engaged."
4. Faster Real-Time Communication:
Allows for faster interaction between the players and the computer, thus increasing
player satisfaction.
5. Increased User Options:
Laser tag center operators can employ more player options while customizing the
games. Players can be given different powers and players down time can be
adjusted. Complex games can be created for more experienced players.
6. Single LaZerware Install CD:
The software can be switched to upgrade the system and add packs without the need
to buy or install new software. The entire package includes the LaZerware
and all 150 wave files on a single CD-ROM for easy installation.
7. Increased Player Interaction:
Each wall unit can support three programs at a time and they can be designed to
only interact with certain players or teams.
8. Streamlined EditGame:
The feature of the software that allows changes to the games, EditGame, is now
more user-friendly. Less time is needed to learn to modify games and designing
new games is easier.
9) Windows 95/98 Compatibility:
The new LaZerware 6.0 is completely compatible with both Windows
95 and 98.
10. Adaptive Communication:
If a pack or wall unit is not communicating as well as the others, the computer
will talk to that pack more often, to ensure good communication between the player
and the computer. This will result in more accurate scores, and even faster communication.
11. Backed-Up Memory Crash Guard:
The new Memory Crash Guard feature restores points, ammo, credits, and all mission
data in the event of system failure, when the system is restarted. The system
can be restarted without interrupting the game or the next scheduled mission.
